Gradient Sock/Sport Yarn, Colorado-Grown Wool 3.5 oz

Our hand-dyed Gray Gradient Colorado-Grown Corriedale & heritage Tunis wool sock/sport yarn is 2-ply mill-spun in 3.5 oz skeins.  Made of a 50/50 blend of Colorado-grown Corriedale & Tunis wool (sourced from our local farmer-friends) with 25% nylon, our Red Mesa Heritage Blend yarn is durable yet surprisingly soft.  Its softness isn't an alpaca or Merino kind of smooth soft, but instead a lofty, plush soft. The combination of Corriedale and heritage Tunis wool makes this yarn soft, bouncy, and elastic, with an amazing bloom (read more about the breeds and why they make a great sock yarn here). Grown in Colorado and spun in the USA, this is not your average yarn!

Our Gradient yarn is hand-dyed using a unique method that creates a variegated gradient. We hand-dye each color in small lots and encourage variations of color intensity and shade. Very fun & excellent for shawlettes. Copies of our shawlette patterns are included with each purchase.

• 3.5 oz (approx. 100g)
• Very approximately 285 yards
• Size 2-3 U.S. (3-3.25mm) needles
• 6 stitches/inch, 14-16 WPI
• 75% Colorado-grown wool, 25% nylon
• Handwash in lukewarm water and lay flat to dry
