Our locker hooking trivet kit includes all you need to learn locker hooking by making one 8" x 8" square hot pad/trivet: canvas, one copy of Locker Hooking Basics by Pam Dyer, one locker hook, wool, and yarn.
Four patterns are available: Tweed, Four Corners, Stripes (usually white, brown, and charcoal), or Multi-Colored (Iris colorway). Variations may occur in roving color, as colored roving is hand-dyed and natural shades change each year with the sheep.

This is the best thing that I didn't know I was missing. Locker hooking is easy, satisfying, simple to start (especially with Dyers Wool's directions) and incredibly addicting. There's something so satisfying about working with wool roving! The Navajo churro roving is incredible. They've hooked me on this new craft, and I'm never going back. This kit is 120% worth the money. I'm not just learning a new craft, I'm learning to calm down, slow down, and take my time. It's art therapy at its most basic. If you're on the fence, this is your sign to stop. Dyers wool is a fantastic farm and a fantastic company.
I am looking forward to completing this project. I briefly flipped through the instruction booklet for directions on locking the ends but didn’t find that information yet. I hope it is there as I was struggling with that on another increase/decrease project.
I purchased the kit with plans to make larger items. The instructions are so good. The ideas are inspiring!
