Our hand-painted Red Sky sock yarn is 2-ply mill-spun, 75% Colorado-Grown heritage Tunis** wool & 25% nylon, in 3.5 oz skeins. Grown in Colorado and USA-spun, this is not your average yarn!

Our 'Red Sky' was inspired by the amazing sunrises we enjoy here in Southwest Colorado. Before the sun crests the horizon, it lights up the dark eastern sky by illuminating the clouds in the sky with brilliant pink and red - heralds of the intense sunlight to come.

• Very approximately 350 yards
• Size 2 U.S. (3mm) needles
• 6.5 stitches/inch, 14-16 WPI
• 75% Colorado-grown wool, 25% nylon
• Handwash in lukewarm water and lay flat to dry

**Tunis is one of the oldest indigenous breeds in the United States, is relatively rare as recorded by the Livestock Conservancy, and was preferred by Thomas Jefferson over Merinos. Containing Leicester Longwool and Southdown genetics, this background gives Tunis fiber its soft and bouncy hand, qualities which it has lent to this sock yarn.
